2012 Australian National Sprint Championship

Australian Sprint National Championship // 29 January 2012

The Australian Sprint National Championship race in Canberra was a qualifying race for Jason Metters (Coach) to secure a place in the Australian Team AG40-44 to represent his country at the ITU World Championships to be held in New Zealand in October 2012.

Jason has won his first QF race in Kurnell, Sydney two weeks previously and unfortunately picked up a calf injury. He had continued with swim and bike training but held off from running to give his calf a chance to heal. His strategy paid off as he went on to place first in AG, 13th overall, improving on his time by 2-mins. Awesome!
