Today we saw three of the team race in Budapest – Chris Sellar, Ben Walton and Glen ‘Chicago’ Osmond. All three bagged fantastic results, with them all crossing the line sub 4:45:0. Great swimming all round with them all swimming around 30mins. Strong biking by all, and it was interesting to see Chicago put 3-mins into Sellar on the bike, who is riding very strong at the moment in his build up to IM Malaysia. Saying that we shouldn’t forget Chicago has just come off the back of some serious sprint and OD training so let’s say they are both in form and it proves the 70.3 distance is a good test for both long and short course triathletes. Ben and Sellar, as expected produced fast runs with a 1:32.10 and 1:26:11 respectively. Chicago pulled a PB out of the bag over the 21km distance, which he will be pleased with 🙂
Great hit out race for Ben & Sellar before the big one next month – IM Malaysia. Tomorrow we have Anders in Denmark taking part in his first Ironman in Copenhagen. He is excited and ready to go so get back online tomorrow and let’s see what Anders can do!
